Keep your canine companion protected with a vaccination plan.
Vaccinating your puppy is the first step in providing preventative care to your pet. Vaccination triggers the immune system to produce its first line of defence against harmful organisms. This is generally done through a series of vaccines and boosters following a schedule.
We offer a combination of core vaccines (Distemper, Adenovirus2, Parainfluenza and Parvovirus), which is accompanied by two boosters and a third of Parvovirus only. Rabies vaccine can be given at 12 weeks and older and is boostered in a year. Bordetella (kennel cough) can be given at 8 weeks of age and older and is boostered in a year.
Your puppies’ vaccines are an important step in developing a strong immune system. Vaccines kick-start your puppies’ immune system by developing antibodies against various diseases and organisms. This is the first exposure they get when their mom’s colostrum wears off.
Vaccines are recommended to begin at 8 weeks of age. They require multiple boosters 3-4 weeks apart in a four-part series.
This can be a very exciting and overwhelming time for your puppy. Please bring your new friend in on a leash and have treats ready to encourage positive behaviour. Don’t forget to bring any previous records that you may have from breeders or other veterinarians.
